Friends Academy Relocates to New Upper East Side Campus

Friends Academy Weekend Extension (FAWE), a program of New York Ikuei Gakuen (Japanese Children’s Society) directed by Sachiko Takizawa Clancy, relocated its campus to Manhattan’s Upper East Side beginning Semester 2 of the 2026–27 school year.

The new campus is Temple Israel New York (112 East 75th Street, New York, NY 10021). It features bright, spacious classrooms, a dedicated outdoor play area, elevator access, and full security facilities, providing a safe and welcoming environment for our students and families.

Semester 2 classes began at the new campus on Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6.

“Moving to a new location marks an important step for Friends Academy. Our new space will allow us to continue providing a welcoming environment for children and families. We remain committed to creating a school where children feel comfortable, connected, and engaged in learning. We look forward to beginning this next chapter in our new home.”
